First up, a graduation card I made using one of my favorite stamp sets, Unity Stamp's Your Wings Exist created by children's book illustrator Phyllis Harris. I LOVE her art!
Next, is a very simple birthday card, but one I absolutely love.
First I printed the branch image on the cardstock. Then, using my Cuttlebug, I embossed it with a Tim Holtz Alterations brick background. I added a sentiment to a print and cut frame on my Silhouette, cut out both it and the Silhouette bird image, then, using pop dots, added them to the front.
Finally, my first (and only, so far) attempt at making an acrylic card. I have since learned the right glue to use, Zip Dry. so that the paper will stick to the acrylic and not fall off. It's hard to see in the picture, but the sentiment is printed on the back of the large cloud that is glued to the inside left front.
The card base is a Send It Clear kit from Clear Scraps. I used my Silhouette to cut out all of the paper images, colored the leaves with my copic markers, and distressed using Tim Holtz distressing ink. The stamped image on the back is from an Asian scrapbooking kit I got years ago from Club Scrap. I fell in love with Clear Scraps at the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando in May of this year. It was my first time attending and I didn't register in time to get into one of the acrylic workshops but I went ahead and bought some of their merchandise. I made this card in August, then attended a Clear Scraps workshop at the Scrapbook Expo in West Palm and was totally hooked! I bought a few more kits, just haven't had a chance to use them yet. If you haven't been to an expo yet, be sure to check it out. You won't want to miss it! It's for more than just scrapbookers. There are wonderful workshops and crops going on the entire time as well as a sales floor that has every imaginable paper craft merchandise you could possibly want, and then some.
Well, that's it for my first post. Hope you enjoy.
